Autumn Equinox Party
Raazi Tea is an emerging tea importer based in Fort Greene. They started by selling at the Fort Greene Farmer's Market and are now growing their online and wholesale presence around the city, selling in stores like Big Night, Gem Home, Depanneur & more. Raazi is inspired by tradition, and inspires slowing down, creating moments of reflection, peace & equilibrium.
To celebrate hitting their first 50 retail stores as well as launch their holiday fine tea set, Raazi hired Philo to produce a warm Autumn Equinox gathering to gather with the customers and industry tastemakers who helped make it all happen.
The Magic:
The Central Theme:
Raazi needed a theme to tie all of the different celebrations together. We chose the Autumn Equinox as a meaningful symbol of the brand itself. The equinox is one of only two days a year when light and dark are in perfect harmony / balance.
This represents Raazi’s mission of slowing down, creating moments of reflection, peace & equilibrium as well as Raazi’s connection to nature with whole leaf teas that are sourced from plants that have been used for hundreds of years.
The Details:
-A vibrant color-blocked table matching the florals, food, and decor to the gorgeous hues of the Raazi packaging
-Custom cocktails made with Raazi tea infusions including the “Pusha Tea” and more. We featured like-minded alcohol partners like Sake Ono, Madre Mezcal and Condesa Gin.
-A station where guests could “Slow the Now” - Raazi’s philosophy of pausing and being present through rituals like tea.
Guests wrote on hand-stamped note cards answers to thought-starters like:
• What’s one way you slow down?
• What’s a ritual you want to start?
• What’s something that brings you balance?
-A mood ring station - guests put on the mood ring and the color denoted their Raazi tea flavor and what it meant for the upcoming Autumn season. For example:
