Mizan Saffron hired Philo to bring to life their mission of bringing back the opulence of the ancient Silk Road. Mizan’s goal is to bring the treasures of the past to the modern consumer, with meticulously sourced saffron as their crown jewel. Here’s what Philo did to bring their brand to life through intentional and beautiful details.
The Details
In this photoshoot, Mizan wanted to emphasize the quality, purity, heritage and authenticity of the brand while appealing to metropolitan epicureans . Here’s how we incorporated those key tenants:
-A Saffron-infused menu with Afghan ingredients like a turmeric olive oil cake with dried rose petals and more.
-A cocktail inspired by the Saffron flower, using butterfly pea gin and real saffron strands to emulate the rich color and texture of the delicate and rare flower
-Bright yellow florals inspired by the color of bloomed saffrons using orchids which have cultural significance in Afghanistan
-Vintage pieces inspired by the goods traded on the ancient silk road, mixed with modern pieces for the modern consumer
